Video footage has shown the inside of the Las Vegas gunman’s hotel suite in the aftermath of the worst gun massacre in modern US history.
A brief clip, originally obtained by German newspaper Bild and published by the DailyMail.com news site, shows the entrance to the rooms where killer Stephen Paddock used rapid-fire weapons to kill 59 people in the crowd of a country music festival below.

The footage appears to show the entrance to the suite, on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel. The door, which was broken down by a SWAT team using explosives, is instead covered by police tape.
A rifle with a telescopic sight and a stand can be seen on the floor through the doorway. The camera then pans round to an abandoned food cart just outside.
According to Las Vegas police, Paddock installed a camera on the cart and linked it to a tablet so he could see when officers were approaching his room to try to stop the shooting.
DailyMail.com also published still photographs inside the room showing guns strewn on the floor, piles of ammunition, and Paddock's dead body.
Las Vegas police have confirmed that the images are genuine.

They correlate with images published by Jacqui Heinrich, an anchor of the Boston 25 news station, which purport to show two of Paddock's rifles. Authorities say he had a total of 23 guns inside the room.
